In the morning, more than 30 hardy and loyal souls braved the biting
winds of 11 January 2005 to salute the birthday of Sir John A. Macdonald
at his statue in the City Park, Kingston. In the afternoon, the staff of
Bellevue House National Historic Site, Kingston, held a special Open
House, where a lavish birthday cake was well appreciated. In the
evening, the Kingston Historical Society hosted a formal dinner held at
the Royal Military College.
